Master of Fine Arts
The MFA program includes five separate fine arts disciplines, including 2D Fine Arts (painting and printmaking), Photography, Film/Video, Studio for Interrelated Media (or SIM), and 3D Fine Arts (with separate concentrations in ceramics, fibers, glass, jewelry and metalsmithing, and sculpture).
Admission to the MFA program is highly competitive and attracts applicants with professional portfolios who are interested in pursuing intensive study in the fine arts. Applicants who are accepted typically have been developing their portfolios for several years. The full-residency MFA program requires a full-time commitment over two years.
Applicants are encouraged to submit all materials at the same time, in a single package, to facilitate processing.
