July 2006 Dear Parents: MassArt is dedicated to improving communication between parents and the college, and to supporting resource development for students and their families. The MassArt Parents' Association is a growing network of parents who wish to stay informed about news, activities and other issues that affect parents and their children attending MassArt. Currently, we are updating and consolidating our online communications for our supporters and friends of MassArt. Each month Alumni, Parents and Friends of the college can receive the monthly electronic newsletter called e-Connection. The information contained in this newsletter is dynamically generated from the current information contained in our new Alumni Online Community and e-mailed on the first Tuesday of every month. (The Online Community is an interactive website that allows alumni to connect with each other as well as keep us up to date on their lives.) If you are not currently receiving e-Connection, please send your e-mail to Monica Serianni in the Alumni Relations Office at mserianni@massart.edu. You can also access this information anytime throughout the month by clicking on: http://alumni.massart.edu/parentspage. During the 2006- 2007 academic year, our plans are to expand the online community to provide separate areas for parents and families, faculty, undergraduates and other friends. As the year progresses, we hope to offer you greater access to a number of exciting features that the online community has to offer, as well as specific information that is important to you as a parent or a family member. In the meantime, to read about current news and events that are taking place at MassArt you can click on: http://alumni.massart.edu/parentspage. At this time no login or password is required. Just scroll down to read about each event or news item. You will receive further communications in the future on how and when you can access more features on the online community. All of the staff in the Institutional Advancement office are here to help assist you whether you what to learn more about MassArt, are looking for more information or need help connecting with a specific department please let us know.
