MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS, BOSTON, BATIK COLLECTION PRIVATE VIEW
The MFA, Boston, houses one of the oldest collections of Indonesian batiks in North America, approximately 300 pieces collected as early as 1893. On Friday, June 10th, during the Concurrent Sessions, an MFA textile curator will host two groups of conferees for a "behind the scenes" view of selections from the museum batik collection. Space is very limited, so look for the sign-up sheet as you check in at the registration desk.
NEW ENGLAND LOBSTER BAKE/SAYONARA PARTY
On Sunday evening, June 12th, our final event will be a traditional New England Lobster Bake outdoors under the stars. The dinner will include a choice of steak or vegetarian entr? for those unable to enjoy our great lobster. The full meal is $35, payable with the registration fee. Dinner reservations for accompanying partners/spouses or friends are possible for this event. Please indicate your entr? choice on the registration form and join us for a relaxing evening where we will "wax eloquently" and enjoy the camaraderie.
PARTNER/SPOUSE PACKAGE
For partners or friends accompanying a conference participant who would like to join us for Sunday only events, we are offering a special Partner Package. This includes a sit-down breakfast Sunday morning, round-trip transportation to the Mill City of Lowell with free admission to the American Textile History Museum and the New England Quilt Museum, where special exhibitions and programming are planned. The cost is $40 for this one-day package and reservations must be made in advance. Complete the Partner Package section of the registration form and give the partner's full name.
