Parent/Guardian Notification Policy

Massachusetts College of Art + Design communicates directly with students on matters that affect their college careers. When a student is experiencing problems, the college may decide to involve a parent or guardian as a means of providing additional assistance and support. MassArt may notify a parent or guardian of a student when that student is involved in an alcohol or drug violation, or when the student is experiencing a medical or psychological emergency or at any time the college decides it would be in the best interest of the student, the college or the community to do so. The Vice President for Student Development or a designee will make such contact either by telephone or in writing.
