Any current or former student who requires a copy of his or her transcript
may request one by following the instructions below. All transcript requests
must be made in writing and must include the student's name, former name if
any, the address to which the transcript is to be sent, and the student's signature.
It is preferred that transcript requests also include the student's social security
number, student i.d. number, years attended and current contact information
to avoid delays and to ensure accuracy.
There is a $10 charge for each official transcript, $5 for a student copy;
checks or money orders must be made payable to Massachusetts College of Art.
Students with financial or procedural obligations to the college are not issued
transcripts until all obligations are cleared.
Transcripts should be requested well in advance of the date needed; it can
take between five and twelve working days to process transcripts. Transcripts
are not generally available on the day of the request.
Requests for transcripts for BFA candidates or alumni should be sent to the
registrar's office. Requests can also be made in person in the Registrar's Office
on the 8th Floor of the Tower Building.
