Kaitlin O’Donnell
Hi, I’m Kaitlin O’Donnell!! Most people on campus know me as Kait O’Dizzle. This is my second year as an orientation leader and I will also be the Tour Guide Coordinator in the Office of Admissions. This year I will be entering my junior year in the Communication Design department as a Graphic Designer. I am originally from the Boston area and I love living in the city. My interests range from fine arts, music, and theater to WWE wrestling, Yoga, and bunnies. Let’s be friends and go on adventures, wooo000!!1107.

Sherwin Long
Hi! My name is Sherwin and I am from Boston. I am random. I am spontaneous like a bowl of spinach at the beach. Like a cherry in a bowl of peas. Like James in a giant peach. I’m sure you get it by now. I am majoring in architecture and hopefully can help you with any questions you may have. Oh yeah! I have a big afro…I challenge anybody who dare step fourth.

Eugene Cruz
Hi everybody! My name is Gene Cruz, although I also go by Geno, Erick, and Apollo the Sun God- anything but Eugene. I'm a junior in the Sculpture department, but I also have spent a year in the Photo program, so technically I am also a junior in that... weird. I love pretty much everything about MassArt; the facilities are great, the faculty and students are really friendly and decent people, the education is awesome, and Boston is a beautiful city, not to mention the tuition is such a deal. So if you need someone to convince you that you have made the right decision, come and see (or, God forbid, face book) me! I look forward to meeting you all in the fall! Take care.

Brenton Barnes
Hello, my name is Brenton Barnes. I’m nineteen years old and I will be a sophomore in the fall semester of two-thousand and seven and I will be majoring in illustration. I’m looking forward to the upcoming fall because I’m convinced that after my first year at the Massachusetts College of Art + Design, it’s only going to get better. My first year here was the most positive and influential experience that I’ve ever had and I hope that I’ll be able to help you so that you too have a positive experience here. I look forward to welcoming all the new students into what I consider the best art college that money can buy in the United States of America.

Hello! My name is Katherine, but everyone calls me Kayley. I transferred to MassArt in the fall of 2006 from Mercyhurst College in Erie, PA. I have really enjoyed my first year at MassArt, and I can't wait to start my sophomore year here as a photo major. My name is Casey Donahue; I am a sophomore here at MassArt. I have been making short films since I was 9 years old, so it was an obvious choice to become a film/video major. I am from Coral Springs, Fl and am a big baseball fan. Also I am quite fond of break dancing. |
Tom Ward
I’m going to be a sophomore Industrial Designer. However, I might switch to Sculpture if I deem it necessary. I play a whole lot of videogames and hang out with my friends when I don’t have stuff to do here at MassArt. It’s going to be a great orientation, see you guys in September! |

I am originally from Worcester, MA, but Boston is like a second home. In my free time I watch wrestling, run, walk, play video games, and take pictures. Hello everyone, my name is Kristin Texeira and I am one of the many lovely Primers for 2007. I am majoring in painting here at Massart. I'm very excited to make some more friends next year, and not just Facebook friends. I enjoy laughing and sunshine and running and I admit to watching I Love New York religiously. One time when I was 9 I got hit in the head with a hockey puck. I wear red nail polish. I cannot wait for the fun we will have at orientation! |

Although I spend most of my time in the Fashion studios, I really like being outdoors in the warm weather. I was a Primer last year, and I enjoyed it so much I had to come back! Oh hey there! I can't wait to meet you! First off, my name is Emily McIntosh, and I will be a junior/sophomore in the fall! (Confusing isn't it?) I will be continuing my current major, Sculpture, in which I will be a junior but at the same time starting a second major of Small Metals where I will be a sophomore again. This summer I will be returning (for the 9th time!) to Camp Merrowvista where I am the counselor for girls as young as 8 all the way to the lovely age of 12. About two weeks after I return home from summer camp, I will be hanging out with all of you! I can't wait!

Hey guys. My name is Ashley Petrolati but all my friends call me beavis (something about me looking like the cartoon character). I am going to be a sophomore this coming fall and am an Art Ed/Sculpture major. I LOVE cottage cheese, singing really, really loud to Stevie Wonder, and swimming. I am learning to moonwalk right now with my friend, another primer, Sam Morton so ask us about it this fall and we will show you how great we are at it...I hope. Hello Everyone! My name is Rachel Kain and I am one of the many fantastic Primers, who will be taking care of you during Orientation, yay! I am a sophomore double major...eek...in Art Teacher Education and Painting! I'm originally from North Attleboro, MA a small town, just a train ride away. Even though art is my first love I've played sports my entire life including field hockey, swimming, and lacrosse. I also love skiing, whitewater rafting, and crabbing on the Cape. Hey! My name is Kendra and I'll be a junior starting in the fall. I'm an Animation major and next year I will be the Student Government Rep for the department. There are a lot of great groups and activities at MassArt that you can get involved in - and you will meet awesome people when you do. I grew up on Cape Cod so coming to the city was a big change for me, but now it feels like home. I absolutely love it here at MassArt, and I am sure you will too! My name is Sam and I come from Eliot, Maine. I love the city of Boston, but I am a country kid at heart. People refer to me as Shmo. Weird name but fun to say. My moonwalk is impeccable just ask fellow primer Ashley Petrolati. With that said Michael Jackson is my favorite, and its not hard to see why.
