Welcome, future student leaders.
Congratulations on your first of many fun and exciting tasks. You found our
webpage and now have the opportunity to really explore what each of the available
positions are looking for in potential candidates.
We are really excited to begin this yearly process and know that those of you
chosen to be part of our Leadership Family are making a very important commitment
to MassArt. Students will be looking to you for energy, ideas and often opportunities
to learn from experiences you have already had.
If you are outgoing, funny, logical, smart, clever, an artist, organized, or
even a bit bashful, there is a position for you, because we believe there is
a position for everyone.
Enjoy reading the job descriptions and don't forget to attend an information
session so you can ask questions from current leaders and pick up an application.
Most important is the time line. Make sure you complete all parts of the
application process so you give your candidacy all of the advantages available
to you.
Please feel free to be in touch with me, Laura Reeves, or Nathan Sherman
if you have any questions about being a Student leader next year.
Good Luck!
Sincerely,
Kristine Bell Smith
Coordinator of Transition Programs
MassArt has a long history of programming and leadership by
students. Indeed, part of the Student Development philosophy is to commit
to your success by empowering you to develop the confidence and skills needed
to make educated decisions. We complement the academic experience by offering
services that foster individual development and preparation for the future.
There are many different leadership positions to apply for
and we hope you will find a match (or matches) for your interests. Check
out the links below for more information on some of these positions.
The Student Leaders selection process begins each year at the start of the
Spring semester. As we approach the end of the Fall semester, more information
and a schedule for the selection process will be posted here.
