Graduating Seniors are allowed to submit two ‘ready-to-hang’ pieces (no glass clips) for the Senior Exhibition. Contact the Exhibitions office at 617.879.7337 with any questions (e.g. if the artwork involves possibly hazardous or unsafe materials). Other restrictions may apply.

Volunteers are essential for the Senior Exhibition. Contact the Exhibitions Office at x7338 if you have specific display requirements. Work may be removed following the Commencement ceremony. ALL WORK MUST BE REMOVED by May 27 or it will be discarded. We cannot store work over the summer.

MassArt plans for an outdoor ceremony each year. However, inclement weather will necessitate bringing the ceremony indoors. Please read the following information completely to understand how we accommodate both situations:

For an outdoor ceremony
(in Evans Park, adjacent to the Tower Building)

Seating for guests in the park will be on a first-come first-serve basis. The chairs are in the grass area and comfortable shoes should be worn for navigating the natural unevenness of the ground. Graduates assemble at 12:15 pm in the rear of the park.

For an indoor ceremony
(Gymnasium / Pozen Center)

Seating for guests is limited to two (2) guests per candidate in the gymnasium (accessible only with a ticket) and remaining guests will be seated in the newly renovated Pozen Theatre (no ticket necessary) where there will be a live video/audio broadcast of the ceremony. Graduates should talk with their guests well in advance of flight purchases and hotel reservations about this provision. We regret that we cannot accommodate all guests in the gymnasium, but safety concerns and State fire codes prevent it. Graduates will assemble at 12:15 pm in the Tower Lobby.
