General parking will be available in the MassArt parking lot on Ward Street and the Wentworth Institute parking lot on Ruggles Avenue. Both lots are directly across Huntington Avenue from the Tower building. The Green “E” line subway and #39 buses also stop directly at the college where there is limited, metered on street parking in the area. Family members with physical disabilities or wheelchairs may park in the special HP parking area beside the Tower Building on Evans Way. If you or a guest require use of these limited spaces, contact the Commencement office at 617-879-7700. Access to this area may be gained from the officer on duty at the barricades near the entrance.

For an outdoor ceremony (Evans Park), seating for guests in the park will be on a first-come first-serve basis. The chairs are in the grass area and comfortable shoes should be worn for navigating the natural unevenness of the ground.

For an indoor ceremony (Gymnasium / Pozen Theatre), seating for guests is limited to TWO (2) guests per candidate in the gymnasium (accessible ONLY by a ticket) and remaining guests will be seated in the Pozen Theatre (no ticket necessary) where there will be a live video/audio broadcast of the ceremony. PLEASE TALK WITH YOUR GUESTS WELL IN ADVANCE OF FLIGHT PURCHASES AND HOTEL RESERVATIONS ABOUT THIS PROVISION. We regret that we cannot accommodate all candidates in the gymnasium, but safety concerns and State fire codes prevent it.

Guests may meet with the graduates and faculty after the ceremony in the park (for an outdoor ceremony), gymnasium (for an indoor ceremony), or Paine Gallery (South Building) where the senior exhibition is held.
