All students in Fine Arts and Applied Design are encouraged to complete 1-2 internships
before they graduate. Internships are pre-professional
apprenticeship opportunities for our students. The Career Services Office maintains
credit-bearing internship listings for students in all academic departments.
Internship supervisors at the company must be working professionals in the
field so they can offer career advice and comments about the student’s
developing portfolio. Supervisors and interns must complete all paperwork and
evaluations by specified deadlines.
Employers widen their pool of potential applicants by offering compensation.
Internships help you hire a talented artist or designer, get short-term assignments
completed and preview the abilities of potential future employees. Please know
that we accept both paid and unpaid internships that meet the college’s
requirements.
