The four public colleges in Boston permit full-time degree seeking students to take up to two courses in any semester at another of the colleges as long as the courses are not offered at the student's home institution. These colleges are:

Bunker Hill Community College
Roxbury Community College
University of Massachusetts/Boston
Massachusetts College of Art

Through consortium arrangements with other colleges, full-time MassArt students have the opportunity to supplement their curriculum through cross-registration for individual courses or exchange semesters. Offerings at other colleges include areas such as arts, music and drama, languages, humanities, mathematics, and sciences.

To cross register for a class at another college, obtain a Cross-Registration Form from MassArt's Registrar's Office. List the name of the other college's course and the MassArt requirement it is fulfilling. Obtain your faculty advisor's signature and approval from the Registrar prior to the end of the Add/Drop period. Take the cross-registration form to the host institution and comply with that institution's deadlines and registration procedures.

Mobility and exchange procedures are detailed within the descriptions of programs at the participating colleges.
