In the Studio: A Pre-college Course for College Credit
In partnership with The Essex Art Center, Lawrence and Cloud Place, Boston.In the Studio is a college-level program for students in grades 11 and 12 interested in developing drawing and painting skills in a challenging yet supportive environment. Students work with professional artists in classes emphasizing college-level skills and study habits. Students earn 1.5 college credits per semester.
In the Studio started under the name MADE in Lawrence, offered at the Essex Art Center in Lawrence. Now in its fifth year, In the Studio has expanded its offerings to Boston at Cloud Place in the heart of Copley Square.

- Painting: Study & Practice
- This comprehensive course explores the basics of acrylic painting in preparation for submitting portfolios for college admission. Emphasis is placed on developing strong fundamental skills.
