Creative Vacation at MassArt

Creative Vacation is for students (Grades 4-12) of all abilities who have a desire to expand their knowledge in the visual arts. Through daily art classes, visits to nearby museums and studios, and meetings with visiting artists, students learn about making a connection between their own artwork and the world around them.

General Schedule

Students may attend Creative Vacation for the full day or for mornings or afternoons only. Morning sessions are held Monday through Friday, 8:30am-12:00pm, and afternoon sessions, 1:00pm-4:30pm.

Creative Vacation staff supervise lunch hour. Students in grades 4-6 choosing the full-day option should bring a bag lunch. Students in grades 7-12 choosing the full-day option may either bring a bag lunch, bring money to purchase lunch, or may purchase a meal card. All students will eat lunch in the MassArt Dining Commons.

Student Exhibition and Final Friday

The morning session is open to all students in the program from morning and afternoon sessions. Special activities are designed for the morning session instead of regular morning and afternoon classes.

Closing Exhibition of Artwork

Family and friends are invited to attend the student exhibition, which takes place on the final Friday afternoon of the program. This celebratory afternoon includes an exhibition of 2D and 3D works and presentation of certificates. Creative Vacation end on the final Friday at the conclusion of the exhibition.
