Saturday Studios Program

Mar 8 - May 10, 2008 - The Saturday Studios Program introduces students to the process of art making, enabling students to see their world differently and to engage in it more resourcefully. Course choices are available by grade level and medium, including drawing and painting, sculpture and ceramics, and advanced courses for those preparing a portfolio for college applications.

Studios for Teens in Art and Design

Jan 25 - Mar 21, 2008 - Studios for Teens offers middle and high school students in-depth classes taught by professional artists from within the MassArt community. Courses cover fundamentals in fine art and design in an atmosphere that is rigorous and challenging while relaxed and fun.

In the Studio: A Pre-college Course for College Credit

Boston: Feb 29-May 9, 2008 & Lawrence: Feb 25-May 12, 2008 - In the Studio offers older high school students the opportunity to pursue college-level visual arts instruction while still in high school. Students strengthen skills and expand critical thinking in an atmosphere that is both supportive and challenging. Students must include a letter of recommendation from an art teacher, guidance counselor or principal with their application. Those who successfully meet the requirements of this course will receive 1.5 college credits from Massachusetts College of Art and Design and Design.

Xtreme Week: Drawing and Fashion

Spring 2008 - Xtreme! Week is an intensive week of art making for students in grades 7-12 during February and April vacations. Choose your focus - Extreme Drawing or Extreme Fashion.

Summer Studios

Summer 2008 - MassArt’s dynamic and engaging pre-college summer program is for the young artist who is serious about their work. Students from around the country and abroad come together to explore MassArt and higher education in the visual arts.

Creative Vacation

Summer 2008 - Creative Vacation is a rigorous and fun program for young artists to find community and practice and develop skills in fields they love. Options include painting, sculpture, fashion, computer animation and more.
