About Workshops

For more than twenty years, Art New England has offered unique, in-depth workshops in a variety of art forms and disciplines in an inspirational setting. For those who choose to come, Art New England is designed to refresh and expand personal artistic practice. Away from day-to-day demands, the classes, instructors, scenery, food, access to studios and program staff are all there to allow you to focus on one thing: your art work.

Schedule

  • Check-in (on-campus students): Sunday 2–4pm
  • Orientation and dinner (all): Sunday 5pm
  • First class meeting: Sunday 7pm
  • M-F Class scheduled 9–4pm (studios are open 24 hours)
  • Lunch 12:30–1:30pm, Dinner 5:30–7pm,
  • Artist Lectures 7:30–9pm
  • Final class: Saturday, 9am–noon.
  • Checkout follows lunch.

Grading

  • Students registered for credit are graded on a Pass/No credit basis (P or NC). Please be advised that letter grades (A, B, C, etc) are NOT used by MassArt.
  • Students seeking credit for career enhancement or reimbursement are urged to contact their home institutions to arrange prior approval. Course credit is not automatically transferable to Massachusetts College of Art and Design or other degree programs; policies on transfer credit vary by institution and by program, so it is important to seek the approval of your advisor before you register. Registration for credit must occur before the class begins.
