The MassArt Office of Alumni Relations is always working to add value to your
MassArt experience through benefits that enable you to further your education,
continue your development as a creative professional, and get discounts on valuable
services you need. Below are some of the ways we are working with you show you
how important your success is to MassArt. Please contact us if you have questions
or comments about ways we can improve or add to these benefits.
Newsletters and Publications
All alumni/ae receive three printed publications each year:
- Folio, the alumni newsletter is published twice a year in the Winter and
Spring.
- The President's Report is published each year in November and highlights
the previous year's accomplishments
In addition to our printed publications, all alumni/ae and friends of the
college can receive the e-Connection electronic newsletter
by registering at the new MassArt Online
Community. The free, monthly e-Connection is
e-mailed to all Alumni/ae in the first week of each month. It's your resource
for what's happening at MassArt and with other Alumni/ae. Each month you'll
find:
- MassArt exhibitions and openings, film screenings, lectures, career services
workshops, service learning opportunities, and volunteer opportunities.
- Alumni/ae and faculty updates, exhibitions and openings, news and notes.
- Calls for artists, studio space for rent, other community events of interest
to Alumni/ae.
So be certain to sign up by registering for the MassArt
Online Community.
The Alumni/ae Photo ID
As a MassArt Aluma/us you may access a number of the resources on campus. Please
note that the MassArt Alumni/ae Photo ID is necessary for entrance to the MassArt
campus. You must fill out an application for an Alumni/ae ID in person in the
Alumni Office on the 11th floor of the Tower Building (9:00am - 5:00pm, Mon
- Fri). A quick visit to the Public Safety office to have your photo taken completes
the process. The Alumni/ae ID is free of charge and must be updated each semester
you wish to have access to the campus.
The Alumni/ae Photo ID provides access to:

Career Services provides access to information about current full-time, part-time,
freelance, and contract jobs by month in art and design, career and employment
workshops and seminars, resource books and magazines, grant information and
assistance, and career and employment counseling (subject to time and availability).
Your first six months after commencement are free and if you fill out the Senior

will receive another six months free access. To continue your subscription,
please know alumni are charged $30 per year. Contact: Maryellen
Schroeder Director of Career Services at (617) 879-7776.
Health Insurance
As everyone knows, Health Insurance can be a perennial problem for artists
and designers. While we continually look at ways to help our alumni find and
keep health insurance, it seems that it becomes increasingly difficult each
year. Our attempts to secure a plan through the Alumni Association have been
unsuccessful in recent years. However, we have compiled the following resources
both for alumni within Massachusetts and those living elsewhere. If you find
another helpful resource, please forward it to the alumni office so we can add
it to this list of resources. Please send your info on health insurance to:
