About the Event
Each spring, the Annual Benefit Art Auction at MassArt draws a crowd of over 600 collectors and art enthusiasts, each one hoping to capture the joy of discovery, the thrill of the hunt: a new work of art to bring home!Join us for an exciting evening in support of the next generation of creativity. The MassArt Foundation's 21st Annual Benefit Art Auction will take place Saturday, April 10, 2010 at the Sandra & David Bakalar Gallery and the Stephen D. Paine Gallery at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, 621 Huntington Avenue, Boston, Massachusetts (view the calendar entry).
The auction is the school's major fund-raising event of the year. This year, over 300 nationally and internationally renowned artists will participate in the auction, including many of our distinguished alumni, faculty, staff, graduating seniors, and master's degree candidates.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The Live Auction will begin at 8:00 p.m. with auctioneer Karen Keane, CEO Skinner, Inc. The Silent Auctions remain open throughout the evening.
On Thursday, April 8, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., sponsors, ticket holders and participating artists are invited to attend a special Auction Preview Reception, sponsored by Twin Focus Capital Partners, to mingle with the art, artists, collectors and sponsors. Absentee bids will be accepted.
Free parking for the auction will be available close to MassArt in the Wentworth Institute of Technology's lot (off of Ruggles Street) on a first-come, first-served basis. Paid parking is also available in the Museum of Fine Art's parking garage, on Museum Road (adjacent to the MFA). MassArt is also easily accessible by the T, from the Longwood stop on the Green E Line, or from the 39 Bus. We encourage you to arrive early.

Advance tickets may also be purchased on the web through Thursday, April 8, 2010 by 8:00 p.m. EST. Tickets to the auction are $175 per person prior to the event or $200 per person at the door of the event (ticket price includes admission to the Auction Preview Reception).
