Featured Exhibitions
As one of the leading curators of contemporary art in Boston, Massachusetts College of Art and Design offers a glimpse of work created on the cutting edge. The David and Sandra Bakalar Gallery and the Stephen D. Paine Gallery host 4 to 6 professional exhibitions each year as well as exhibitions of work by MassArt students (including graduate thesis exhibitions and the annual Senior Show).
The objective of the exhibitions featured at MassArt is two-fold: to display works of art not usually seen in New England, and to present a balance of different media-ranging from painting, design, and photography to sculpture and performance art.
MassArt exhibitions garner regular attention in regional, national, and international press.
