Shahzia Sikander: The Exploding Company Man and Other Abstractions

Shahzia Sikander culls and explores elements of Indo-Persian miniature paintings, interweaving references to the past with reflections on everyday life across various media-from drawing and painting to digital animation. Her central concerns are transformation, societies in flux, and disruption as a means to cultivate novel associations.

Showcasing the breadth of talent and excellence embodied by MassArt's artists and designers, this exhibition features the work of 64 international artists working in a range of disciplines – from sculpture to graphic and fashion design to photography.

After interviewing each artist and documenting their studios, Joe Fig beautifully renders their workspaces in miniature.
