Observational Drawing and Portfolio Development offers high school students a unique opportunity to strengthen observational drawing skills and cultivate a personal point of view while gaining insight into building a portfolio and the art school admissions process. Students explore traditional and innovative ways of rendering the observed world through a variety of media and styles. Taught by artist/educator Kevin Townsend and designed in collaboration with MassArt Admissions, the class encourages students to move beyond typical neutral studies and build skills in pursuit of a strong, singular personal vision and voice through focused drawing assignments and critiques.
Please note that there will be nude models and parental consent is required.
