All studios run from 8:30a.m. to 12:00p.m.
FANTASY, MYTH AND MAGIC (GRADES 3-4)
Create artwork that explores the history and power of people and places, both real and imagined. Using both painting and sculpting materials students will create creatures and heroes.
PULP KITCHEN (GRADES 5-6)
Learn to make paper from pulp. This course explores the making of paper and paper objects. Students will be introduced to some of the processes of making pulp from found objects, coloring pulp with pigment, and creating different texture to the pulp. This course will also include making molds and transforming students' handmade paper into books and other possibilities.
BUILDING AND SCULPTING (GRADES 5-6)
Working with sculpting techniques and materials such as clay, fibers, papers, wire and found objects, students create three-dimensional art works.
FASHION DESIGN (GRADES 7-9)
Learn how a piece is created from concept to drawing to construction. Students will translate creative designs into finished garments.
STOP MOTION ANIMATION (GRADES 7-9)
This studio introduces basic principles of stop motion animation through an exploration of different media and storytelling techniques. Students will gain a breadth of knowledge on various contemporary animators and artists. Class time will be spent working in groups and on individual projects.
