Applying for Housing
If granted admission to MassArt, accepted students will receive a residence application in their acceptance packets. In order to be considered for on-campus housing, accepted students need to submit the completed application and housing deposit to the Office of Admissions.
First-Time College Students
MassArt guarantees housing for first-time college students whose completed residence applications and deposits are received by the Office of Housing and Residence Life on or before May 1. First-time college students applying after May 1 will be placed on a waiting list if space is unavailable. If space remains available after the deadline, students will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
Transfer and Graduate Students
The Office of Housing and Residence Life does set aside spaces for transfer and graduate students. These spaces are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Because we cannot guarantee housing for transfer or graduate students it is recommended that students submit their completed residence application and deposit as early as possible. If space is unavailable, students will be placed on a waitlist.
