Low Residency MFA
MassArt at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown is a low-residency MFA program for students working in two-dimensional media including painting, printmaking, drawing, mixed media and also related installation work. Students travel to and reside in Provincetown for three-and-one-half week residency sessions in September and May for two years, and attend a final ten-day residency in the third September. The intensive residency sessions are complemented by off-site periods where students work under the supervision of approved mentors and participate in online courses.
Applicants who are accepted to MassArt 's low-residency MFA program typically have been developing their portfolios for several years.
Applicants are encouraged to submit all materials at the same time, in a single package, to facilitate processing.
