Statement of purpose (online)
The one- to two-page statement of purpose should address your reasons for applying to MassArt, your choice of a specific discipline, and the direction of future work. You also may want to comment on recent developments that support your decision to apply.
Your resume should list professional accomplishments, including exhibitions, awards, or other activities that convey a sense of your commitment to a career in the arts.
Letters of reference (online)
You will need to provide email addresses for recommendations from two (2) individuals who are familiar with the work in your portfolio and can comment on your qualifications for advanced study. At least one letter should be from a teacher with whom you have studied.
All finalists for admission are invited to the college for interviews with faculty and graduate students. For applicants who are not able to travel, telephone or Skype interviews are conducted. The Graduate Programs office will contact finalists after February 1. Interviews are conducted throughout the month of February.
