    Frequently Asked Questions

When can I expect to hear from MassArt regarding an admissions decision?
The next step in the process is the selection of interview candidates. Applicants selected for interviews will be contacted in early February to schedule an interview, either in person or via phone when necessary. All applicants will know their final admissions decisions by March 30, 2011.

What if my references have not submitted my recommendations yet?
The Graduate Programs office will contact submitted applicants who still have outstanding admissions materials, including letters of reference. References are still able to submit their letters via the SlideRoom website even once an applicant submits. Although we are encouraging all letters of reference to be submitted through SlideRoom, the office is keeping paper letters of reference received on file for departmental review.

If I am still in the process of completing my degree, will I still be considered for admission?
Yes, students who will complete their undergraduate degree before the start date of the graduate program they are applying for will be considered. You will need to submit a final official transcript once your degree is completed and conferred in order to matriculate into your program.

What if I am interested in Financial Aid and Scholarships? Is there anything else I need to do?

Students interested in financial support should familiarize themselves with the Graduate Financial Assistance options.
Any student interested in Federal Loan programs or other types of Financial Aid at MassArt should complete the FAFSA  no later than March 1, 2011.

Is there on-campus housing available for graduate students at MassArt?
