Frequently Asked Questions
When can I expect to hear from MassArt regarding an admissions decision?
The next step in the process is the selection of interview candidates. Applicants selected for interviews will be contacted in early February to schedule an interview, either in person or via phone when necessary. All applicants will know their final admissions decisions by March 30.
What if my references have not submitted my recommendations yet?
The Admissions office will contact submitted applicants who still have outstanding admissions materials, including letters of reference. We can accept references digitally or via mail/email. When you fill out your application online, you will be prompted to enter the name and contact information for your 2 recommenders. Your recommenders will receive an email with a link to fill out the recommendation online. Otherwise, the recommender can mail or email the letter to Office of Admissions (621 Huntington Ave; email@example.com).
If I am still in the process of completing my degree, will I still be considered for admission?
Yes, students who will complete their undergraduate degree before the start date of the graduate program they are applying for will be considered. You will need to submit a final official transcript once your degree is completed and conferred in order to matriculate into your program.
What if I am interested in Financial Aid and Scholarships? Is there anything else I need to do?
Students interested in financial support should familiarize themselves with the Graduate Financial Assistance options.
Any student interested in Federal Loan programs or other types of Financial Aid at MassArt should complete the FAFSA for the priority deadline of March 1st.
