Fulbright Students
This year the Office of Graduate Programs received an all-time high number of applications. The result was that MassArt welcomed 64 new graduate students.
Of them, 25 percent are international students, representing twelve countries.
Three of the first-year students received Fulbright Scholarships. They are: Fabiola Menchelli (Mexico), Yael Alkalay (Israel), and Unum Babar (Pakistan). They join an additional Fulbright Scholar at MassArt, Maria Stangel (Poland), who is in her second year.
The Fulbright International Exchange Program provides grants for study, teaching, and research, and is designed to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries.
We asked the Fulbright students at MassArt to tell us a little about themselves and their work here.
